endothermic morphologies

Thermoregulation is the ability of an organism to keep its body temperature within certain boundaries, even when the surrounding temperature is very different. This process is one aspect of homeostasis: a dynamic state of stability between an animal’s internal environment and its external environment.
Organisms can generally be divided into two types of thermoregulators, endotherms and ectotherms.

Endotherms create most of their heat via metabolic processes, and are colloquially referred to as warm-blooded. Ectotherms temperature comes mostly from the environment.

This set of experiments attempt to combine thermal-electric materials and heat pipe technology to actively thermoregulate an environment.
